The purpose of this guide is to show you, how to root your RTD1296 based Zidoo player. To modify the system partition of your Zidoo player, it has to be rooted. As always, use it at your own risk! After reboot, your Zidoo player is rooted.

Before I’ve had my own X9S I supposed it has to be rooted like Z9S to upgrade HT4, but I was wrong. On Android 6 based players the Home Theater app is not installed as a system app.

At home I’ve two PCs running with Windows 10 20H2. One for working and gaming, the other as server. The working/gaming PC is succesfull connected to the Zidoo Z9S, the server is not.
In this short guide I’ll show you how I successfully connected my server to the Zidoo Z9S.
