Before I’ve had my own X9S I supposed it has to be rooted like Z9S to upgrade HT4, but I was wrong. On Android 6 based players the Home Theater app is not installed as a system app. I’ve written a new guide “How to update Home Theater 4 on Zidoo X8, X9S or X10“
